DIAGNOSTIC VIDEO HYSTEROSCOPY
It is an optimal method for assessing for all cases where visualising the cervical canal uterine canal & tubal ostea will improve diagnostic accuracy and guide therapeutic management. It is a procedure that visualises the uterine cavity with a telescope.
It is useful in diagnosing the fibroids, polyps, septum, adhesions, tube testing. It is used routinely in infertility, recurrent abortion and scanty or excessive periods. Early detected early cancer uterus and it is done daily in our clinic.
OPERATIVE HYSTEROSCOPY
It is the visualization of the uterine cavity with Hysteroscope. The hysteroscope is inserted through the cervix to reveal the inside of uterus. Hysteroscope has ports, which allow the physician to insert operating tools such as scissors, cautery or a laser fibre these may be used to resect or cauterize specific abnormalities under direct visualization. It is useful in operative procedures such as TCRE (Resection of endometrium in excessive bleeding), Breaking the adhesions,Removing polyp / IUCD, Resection of septum, opening of the tubes, taking guided biopsy to rule out early cancer.
It is done daily in our clinic. Resection of septum and opening of the tubes is done under GA after admission in the hospital. |
